Coaching is a form of individual, personality-oriented advice, primarily for managers, provided by external consultants. A professional with business and psychotherapeutic training works in sessions on problem-oriented topics such as managing employees or dealing with work conflicts.
The target groups are primarily people with leadership responsibilities and/or management tasks. The general goal is always to improve self-regulation skills ("help for self-help") by promoting self-reflection and self-perception, awareness and responsibility.
Coaching works with transparent interventions and does not allow manipulative techniques, as such an approach would fundamentally contradict the promotion of awareness and personal responsibility.
