E-Business

E-business (electronic business) is the integrated execution of a company's automatable business processes using information and communication technology. (There is no generally accepted definition yet).
The aim is to ensure seamless, computer-based and automated processing of information in companies. Special software systems are required for this.
Examples of software systems in e-business:
- Document management systems (DMS)
- Groupware systems
- Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
- Digital Office Systems (DOS)
- Production planning and control systems (PPS)
- Workflow management systems (WfMS)
- Enterprise Content Management Systems (ECMS)
- Wiki systems
- Portals
