Employee participation

Employee participation means a relationship that goes beyond the traditional relationship between employer and employee and is based on partnership. Employee participation can consist of a capital participation (e.g. in the form of shares), a profit-sharing (in sales or profits) and the participation of employees in the design of work processes and working conditions. The legally prescribed co-determination options in employee representation (MAV, works council, staff council) also serve to involve employees in company operations.
