The burden on tried-and-tested leadership techniques is the advancing digitalization, which makes it impossible for any manager to predict what will happen next year. News apps are replacing daily newspapers, online ordering services are replacing phone calls to restaurants, and even government offices are now issuing forms electronically. All of these radical changes are the product of technological progress. This, in turn, not only influences the opportunities available to companies but also directly influences consumer behavior.
A company has to adapt to constantly changing customer demands, and management has to adapt accordingly to the new needs of employees, innovations, etc. The chain of interactions is difficult to grasp and is changing too quickly for managers to rest on their laurels once learned.
