Common criteria for supplier evaluation include the ppm rate (parts per million), price, adherence to quantities and deadlines, the ability to innovate and, increasingly, the value orientation of the supplier.
The supplier evaluation in a utility analysis is followed by a classification according to A, B and C suppliers. A suppliers are given preference because, for example, they have offered the highest delivery quality in the past.
